bunu ben söylemiyorum. ’çılgın türklük’te bugünküleri aratmayan falih rıfkı atay söylüyor.

1931 mi?

emre kongar gibilerin ’demokrasi kanıtı’ saydıkları ’serbest fırka’ bir oldubittiye getirilip (ismet paşa marifetiyle) kapatılmış, basındaki muhalif sesler susturulmuştur.

istanbul merkezli gazetelerin bu karara gösterdikleri tepki, tek parti egemenlerini çıldırtır. hele, ’muhalif’ çizgide yeni gazetelerin devreye gireceği söylentileri çılgınlığın dozunu daha da artırır.

hakimiyet-i millî’nin tetikçisi falih rıfkı atay, o günlerde ’muhtıra’ niteliğinde bir yazı kaleme alarak girişim sahiplerini uyarır:

’eğer gazete çıkartacaklar için tahsil ve terbiyeyi bir tarafa bırakınız, yalnız bir polis tezkiyesi lazım olsaydı, kimi mahkûm, kimi maznun bu kelepçe kaçkınlarına izin ve imtiyaz verilmek imkanı yoktur. vatan hıyanetinin, cigara içer gibi serbest yapıldığı günlerde bulunuyoruz. bunlar bütün millî şerefleri pazara çıkartmışlardır.’

madem, ’sayın ahmet bey, son zamanlarda yazılarını anlamıyoruz, çok osmanlıca kelime kullanıyorsun’ diye serzenişte bulunuyorsunuz, sevabına özetleyeyim.

diyor ki falih rıfkı: ’eşeklik edip muhalif gazete çıkarmayın, bunu yaparsanız şerefsizsiniz.’

şerefsizler kategorisinde ilk sırayı elbette arif oruç, hüseyin cahit yalçın, velid ebuzziya, eşref edip ve ahmet emin yalman almaktadır. falih rıfkı atay’a göre, ’bütün muhalifler alçaktır’, dolayısıyla alçakların girişeceği her hareket ’akim’ kalmaya mahkûmdur.

falih rıfkı, o yıllarda sık sık, ’demokrasi’ sözcüğünden hazzetmediğini yazma gereği duyar. serbest fırka’yla birlikte gündelik hayata giren bu kavram, yalnızca hakimiyet-i millî yazarını değil, tek parti egemenlerini de rahatsız etmektedir.

bu nedenle, serbest fırka bir ’geceyarısı operasyonu’yla kapatılır, halkın reyi yeniden halk fırkası’nda bloke edilir.

falih rıfkı, tek parti uygulamalarını eleştiren ve ’durduk yerde’ demokrasi isteyen alçaklara da şu karşılığı verecektir:

’demokrasi dedikleri şey, bizzat şeriattır. hürriyet dedikleri şey, katillerin başıboşluğu, hırsızların serbestliği, cürümsüz, cezasız ve inzibatsız bir serseriler saltanatıdır. bu, dolandırıcının polise, müfterinin mahkemeye karşı hareketidir. bu bir anarşist hareketidir. ahlak, namus, haysiyet, şeref, aile, her şey paçavraya çevrilmiştir.’

bir yazımda, "turgut özakman, şu çılgın türkler’in arif oruç’a ne yaptıklarını anlatsın!" demiştim. anlatmadı.

ben anlatayım o zaman:

falih rıfkı’nın jurnallerinden sonra, birçok mevkuteyle birlikte, arif oruç’un ’yarın’ gazetesi de kapatılır. o da tutup ’kundura boyası dükkanı’ açar. fakat polis yakasını bırakmaz. 1933 yılında, milli emniyet ajanları tarafından bir gece evinden alınarak bulgaristan’ın şumnu kentine bırakılır.

gazetesi yarın’ı bir süre şumnu, sofya ve paris’te yayınlar.

1937 yılında türkiye’ye döner. idam talebiyle ağır ceza mahkemesi’nde yargılanır ve beraat eder.

gazetecilik yapmasına izin verilmediği için, geçimini gazetelere müstear isimlerle yazdığı tarihi ve edebi romanlarla sağlar.

sonra ortadan kaybolur.

10 ekim 1950 tarihli milliyet’in birinci sayfasında yayınlanan bir ölüm haberi bu ’ortadan kayboluş’ hadisesine ışık tutacaktır:

’fikir ve siyasi hayatımızda yeni merhaleler açmış olan kıymetli mütefekkir ve muharrirlerimizden arif oruç’u kaybettik...’

we want people to feel rich. and give some of their extra money to a worthwhile charity.



how do we calculate it?

the global rich list calculations are based on figures from the world bank development research group. to calculate the most accurate position for each individual we assume that the world’s total population is 6 billion¹ and the average worldwide annual income is $5,000².



who’s behind this?
