5 eylül 1946 yılında doğu afrika kıyılarının yakınlarındaki zanzibar adasında farrokh bulsara olarak dünyaya geldi.

8 yaşındayken, ailesi onu, daha iyi bir eğitim alabilmesi içn ingiltere’ye yollamıştır. arkadaşları ve öğretmenelri ona sürekli olarak "freddie" diye seslenmesinden dolayı bu ismi benimsemeye başlamıştır.

1964 yılında gittiği isleworth okulu’ndan, sanat dersleri dışındaki tüm dersleri sıfır olduğu için ayrılmak zorunda kaldı. daha sonra ealing college’de grafik tasarım eğitimi almaya başladı ve 1969 yılında buradan mezun oldu. ama o yanlızca müziğe odaklanmıştı.

queen öncesideki grubunun adı wreckage’dir.

roger taylor ile iyi bir arkadaş olan freddie, smile grubunun vokalinin gruptan ayrılmasından sonra bu gruba katıldı. grup john deacon’ın da katılmasından sonra queen adını aldı. bu isi mi de tabii ki freddie bulmuştu. queen kurulduktan sonra, ismini freddie mercury olarak değiştirdi.

ondan sonraki yıllarda queen grubunun en önemli ismi oldu. yaptığı şarkılar, giyim tarzı, yaratıcılığı, queen’in gelişmesinde ve tanınmasında çok öenmli etken oldu. sayısız şarkılar yapıp bu şarkıların dünyaya yayılmasını ve sevilmesini harika ve eşsiz sesiyle başardı.

21 kasım 1991 günü aids hastalığpı yüzünden hayatına veda etti.

queen grubunun bateristi. 26 temmuz 1949 ingiltere’de dünyaya geldi. 1966 yılından itibaren bateri çalmaya başladı. 1968 yılında brian may ile tanışıp "smile" adlı grupta baterist olarak çalmaya başladı. bu yıllarda, aynı zamanda "diş hekimliği" bölümünde de eğitimine devam etmiştir. 1971 yılında freddie mercury ile tanışır. sonraki yıllarda "queen" grubu kurulur ve bu grubun önemli parçalarından birisi olur. bazı şarkılara sesiyle hayat verir, bazı şarkılarda freddie’ye eşlik eder.
